Can we get a count of the people who have replaced the fuel pump and had the crickets come back?
Thanks! Nathan |

I just heard the cricket sound on my engine bay earlier after having the car for 5 months with 1300 miles on it. it doesnt really bother me but is it a must to get it fixed by the dealer? are there going to be a long time effects?

Toyota just called me out of the blue. I guess the third fuel pump the ordered for me finally came in after a few months. He said it is a revised part number and was sent to them based of the toyota ticket they opened up for me. Ill get all the numbers I can.

I had my fuel pump replaced a couple months ago and my crickets are back. They aren't always there though. I'll wait until a revised part comes out before taking it in again.

I noticed a slight whine from my car but I wouldn't say it sounds like crickets, nor would I call it high pitched. It's pretty quiet and I can only hear it with the radio off, but I don't feel like it's completely normal. I'm wondering if it might be this, or something else.
