NOT TRUE. I HAVE, ONLY USED SHELL (Ethanol-Free) Premium in mine, and as of today 1800 miles (4.5 months - weekend car) I've got VERY Loud crickets.... Going in for service Monday.

Can we get a count of the people who have replaced the fuel pump and had the crickets come back?

Thanks!

I hope that an actual fix is in for this come springtime, and I'm glad I am waiting until then. Nothing more frustrating than thinking something is fixed and finding out its not.

Toyota just called me out of the blue. I guess the third fuel pump the ordered for me finally came in after a few months. He said it is a revised part number and was sent to them based of the toyota ticket they opened up for me. Ill get all the numbers I can.

Sent from my flux capacitor using Taptalk

I had my fuel pump replaced a couple months ago and my crickets are back. They aren't always there though. I'll wait until a revised part comes out before taking it in again.

I noticed a slight whine from my car but I wouldn't say it sounds like crickets, nor would I call it high pitched. It's pretty quiet and I can only hear it with the radio off, but I don't feel like it's completely normal. I'm wondering if it might be this, or something else.
