With the bigger throttle plate it'll feel more responsive because you're getting more air at smaller throttle openings (unless you remap the throttle curve), I'd be shocked if it actually makes a significant amount more power (even boosted) over the stock one unless you replace the intake manifold and open up the head (and cams).

I'd compare a log of the raw MAF reading before and after the swap to see if it's actually flowing more air at WOT or not. It doesn't matter if the TB flows more air, if it can't get into the combustion chamber it'll still be backed up before the TB.

From my reading/understanding the heads/valve opening is the most restrictive part.

I'll bet you're making a shitload of power as it is.

That's my understanding too, but IIRC the runners can be a bottleneck compared to a bigger TB too. Doesn't really matter until the head is opened up though.

Camshafts are my biggest limit, but I don't have enough confidence in the engine to spend $1200 on them. Plus the engine has to be pulled to install them.
If the cams are the most restrictive part, opening up the TB probably won't do much at all. Getting more air to the intake ports on the head won't help if they're already maxed out.

Like I said above, you can log the raw MAF reading at WOT and compare to before to see how much more air is actually being ingested by the engine. I'd bet a lot that it's nowhere near 30% more though.

The TB in isolation flows more air. My whole point was that if there's something else downstream that is still more restrictive then the TB won't be flowing more air overall.

The whole reason I suggested raw MAF reading before and after is to show how much air is actually being ingested before and after the change.

I don't doubt it's flowing a bit more air, but it's nowhere the 30%+ claimed.

Any info on the adapter you have? I was able to find this https://www.urdusa.com/urd-throttle-...gr-fe-4-0l-v6/
which looks like it may do the same thing

Why they should be swapped?

Thanks.
