Cusco-Winmax FRS in NorCal

As many of you are aware, the 86Cup is sponsored by the Socal-based Cusco-Winmax. They are supportive of the 86Cup with participation-discounts, gifts, technical support, and awareness of the sport to other manufacturers and supporters.

Cusco USA is a subdivision of the Japanese company Carrosser Co Ltd. The company's passion is to make vehicle components for a wide variety of fun-to-drive cars and make them even more fun to drive! Coil-overs, suspension mods, and drive train components are just a few of its grocery list of components available for many vehicles.

Winmax, a leading brake parts manufacturer in Japan, is used by top motorsport teams involved in many aspects of the sport. The rigorous real-life testing of their brake pads have made them a great choice for OE factory replacements to competitive racing environments. Winmax USA has joined forces with Cusco USA to offer the sport enthusiast a single location for all their motorsport needs. Both are headquartered in the surf city of Huntington Beach.

Without further ado, here some pictures to share:

With the Southbay 86 owners @ Milpitas Square.

Blackhawk's Cars and Coffee Sunday AM meet with a few 86 owners.

Photoshoot with my wife around the SF region:

Bay Bridge

Japantown

Downtown

Coit Tower

Coordinated this with a GGB employee. How fun as there was a tour bus of Japanese that recognized the names. From a distance, I watched the men and a few women take pictures with the car.

Taco Bell on the beach!

Treated my wife to some sea food on PCH after the day's trip.

More recently, the car was on display at Norcal's Summer Kickoff as well as at Blox EVO2.

Stay tuned as the car has not yet completed its tour thru Norcal...

Two of my favorites places on PCH - cheap food and ocean view. But the wife had a better idea to eat down the road

I'll have the mod list up for you soon but for starters, it's pretty much has all the Cusco suspension pieces from top to bottom. So much so that throwing this car around you know where is so much fun. Also helps that the guy(s) in SoCal tuning the car for track use knows what they're doing.

For any Cusco parts inquiry, contact CounterSpace Garage. And if you have ever participated in the 86Cup, make sure you mention that too
