Seeing that beauty new ride just reminded me of a question I know I will get S*it on in here for asking in the wrong thread..
But does anyone know if they have finally came out with a fuel pump that doesn't chirp in the 2016 models? |

Nope, they have not. It is not a fault with the pump and pretty much just a North American issue so I doubt they will ever do anything about it.

I've been using Esso/Petro 91 gas since I got the car and I still haven't gotten the chirping yet. (pray to god I never do). I have close to 4k KMs.

Just turned 70k on my car. Almost 2 years of ownership.
Tried every type of gas under the sun. It chirps whenever it wants to, no matter what.

Thats weird. When I use Esso 91, the crickets have come to town but when I actually get the chance to get Costco 91 no more chirps.

I never really understood the difference between Gas companies.
Is there really a difference between Costco 91 and Esso/Petro 91? I have a Costco nearby, if it's better, I'll probably head there instead. |

Even I will agree that I got no cricket sound when I fill from costco or shell. But if I go to Petro or Esso, it sounds like crickets having some party under the hood.
But, I have found the solution to crickets....louder exhaust!! |

Maybe my exhaust is overpowering it. I've never heard any crickets. Im going to pay attention to it today. If I hear crickets, good bye Petro/Esso, hello Costco.
