So pissed at GE right now. 3 times they have scheduled to come out and fix my oven, and 3 times they have cancelled because the parts are still not in. Now they called and said they have to take me off the calendar until the parts come in. Sounds like I wont have an oven for a while.

Wow, that sucks. My idea of a piece of sheet metal and some rivets is probably starting to sound pretty good right now...

Well they all directly cost me $0. Now the $40 case of beer makes up for that I guess.

Have you tried to get a whole new oven out of them?

Welp, today is not evolving to be all that great. mrs humfrz is off to the hair dresser for a "long" (read expensive, $100+) appointment; there is no school today, so I threw the grandchildren $20 worth of junk food; I picked up the mail and discovered a Notice of Infraction from the city for running a red light ($124); and I got charged twice for the same thing on my back surgery bill ($260) because it took both surgeons to stop a spinal cord leak (SMH - how many ___________ does it take to change a light bulb?)

NOW, it's my nap time and the toddler is all upset because ma-ma is gone and she won't lay down with me to take a nap.

Oh, back in the day, this would have been a bloody Mary morning -

My contractor spoke with the appliance place we bought them at (family owned and operated for over 100 years, supplies just about every big contractor in the valley), and they are pissed. My contractor alone specs out dozens of units a year. It wouldn't surprise me if my contractor shows up with a new unit this weekend.

I was going to make a prime rib dinner this weekend for Mrs. Ho's birthday, but now it is stir fry. And I bought more bread making stuff, have two different sourdough starters going, and am dying to bake some bread.

Took an extra, extra long lunch with a friend. Now I want a nap. Maybe I should just.. "work" the rest of the day, AKA take a snooze.

I'm working from home anyway . Hmmmm.

Had my mom over for dinner last night. My 3 sons are all skiing in Vail this week (tough life) so just me, mom and the Mrs. I tell my mom the oven is broken and I'm dying to bake some bread. She says, "can't you just buy bread at the store?" I SMH, that's my mom.

I lied about the temp. 500 F continuous.

I've never had the opportunity but it's labeled for it. Can't hurt to try. It'll flow into the cracks if you warm it a little.
