Exhaust questions - 1 side more dirty than other?

Hey all,

I bought a used magnaflow setup for my BRZ last year. What I've notices is that the right outlet tip is always way dirtier than the other, and the metal seems to discolor at a faster rate.. like the exhaust gases are favoring that side more than the other. Anyone else have this issue? Suggestions?

Just punch it more often, and they will discolor at the same rate.

Either clean them more often or just leave it alone.

Great solution no matter how lazy or motivated you are.

OEM exhaust does that too. Exhaust path is taking the path of least resistance.

Don't clean the carbon inside the tips. It looks mean.

Clean the outside of the tips though.

It isn't a true dual exhaust so the gases take the path of least resistance mentioned making one side see more gas then the other making it more dirty

Yep, Bubba says to spray paint the inside of the tail pipes with a hi-temp flat black paint .........then you won't notice the difference ......

On a positive note one side will be cleaner than the other.
