Can anyone else confirm whether or not keys can be added with this using a tatrix2 cable? I tried via the older software on a WinXP machine as well as with the new 9.00.025 software and no dice with either.

So I got my MINI VCI from Amazon.com
this is the link for it: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C9B32J4/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com: Fotga Newest V8.00.034 MINI VCI for TOYOTA TIS Techstream Diagnostic Cable & Software: Car Electronics[/ame] and I used the software on this thread the V9.00.025 with the Easy activation , on a Windows XP SP3 with a Java v7 everything worked just fine and I can go into settings and change many things and check for health and such I was able to turn off the Seat belt warning for Driver seat and passenger seat , I also made the sensors stop buzzing if the distance between me and and obstacle did not change for 3 sec (was annoying on Red light stops). but one of the most annoying warning is the Speed warning ! that I was not able to change or even find anything relate to it! not sure why the car comes with 120km speed warning and our roads are between 120km to 130km when I drive I always go between 115km to 125km which almost make the buzzing active all the time (when I reach 120km it buzz for 9 tics then goes off) so going up and down in speed around 120km will trigger the speed warning which is pretty annoying ! did anyone ever was able to disable the speed warning or change the speed warning limit ? Thanks again so much for this thread, it helped me a lot |

Ok, I purchased the cable, and downloaded the software from OP's links, but I am having trouble activating the Toyota TechStream Software. How is everyone else activating the software? It says I need a registration code. Who can provide me with one for TechStream Version 9.00.025 with Software ID: E6F1C05FD268B97BE2DED1366BF7A6A? Anyone's help is greatly appreciated as I can't do anything until I activate the software!

Alright...nevermind the questions about activating the software. I deleted both the TechStream program and the MVCI Firmware drivers, reinstalled them in reverse order and everything works great! I purchased my BRZ 3.5 weeks ago and the TPMS sensor light came on about 10mins after leaving the dealer. It's stayed solidly lit, so I assumed they just forgot to initialize the TPMS sensors during the pre-sale checklist. The car was NEW, it has 1 mile on it when I bought it. So, it definitely wasn't driven enough by the dealer to trigger the TPMS light until I got behind the wheel. I have an appointment to take the car in and get this fixed early next week but I wanted to figure out what was causing the problem before I went in. Sure enough, once I got TechStream working, it showed me that "Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor #3 is not registering and has a problem". I was also able to turn off the seat belt buzzer, make both doors lock, and/or unlock at the same time when I touch the drivers door handle, and turn the security system on (it's off by default on the BRZ). I went through and changed a few other things as well, like how long I have to push the trunk pop button under the trunk lid before it opens and I adjusted the length of time that the interior and auto lights stay on. This is fantastic software, it was a little difficult to get working at first since I the Activation screen kept popping up and wouldn't allow me to do anything, but once I got that fixed, it's a powerful utility, that everyone with an 86 should have access too! Thanks OP for the links and info!

If you need to run it on a 64Bit computer follow this procedure. It worked fine for me!

I used this same tutorial a couple days ago. Was able to install it and everything unlike before. Only issue I have now is I can't communicate with any modules on the car. I gave up after a couple hours of messing around with it. |
