Even then, what I envision happening (from numerous horror "after-the-recall-failure" threads) is IF your motor gets screwed up because they gunk it with gasket material they'll just say "it was modified previously so the damage is not ours to cover" and then you'll be out of a motor.

If it put up with the abuse thus far I would just drive it and see what happens. If a spring lets go, well then you pull it and fix it, or have it fixed. Maybe take some time to get some upgraded internals in there while you are at it.
I tried 4 local dealers a no go on that! I think I will just run it as I planned and let mother nature prevail!

I have been adding turbos to carb'd and F/I motors for over 20 yrs now and well know the risks involved.

And you are correct this is in no way comparable to a snowmobile engine they are way more intricate and complicated than this engine. pumping out more than 2 times the hp per CC this one did 394 hp on the dyno at the track 1098 CC's

I bought this one built by a professional tune shop and set up with plenty of miles to prove its pudding.
I spent 7 years in Montana, plenty of friends with the high dollar turbo/nitrous sleds. They would blow them up and laugh it off, drop another $10k and move on to the next weekend.

My wife's boss payed a shop to remove the snow from his sled every week. Payed. That's reliability right there.

YIKES, there, Fast13FRS, I don't read where anyone, including ol @Tcoat, is shouting at you -

No need to get your panties all bunched up -

See, when a new person comes on the forum, we have no way of knowing (unless they tell us) if they just got their drivers license and their parents tossed them the keys to a twin or they had cut their teeth on a 9/16 th in wrench and learned to drive with a 1930's some farm truck - ??

Several on this forum have found out that force feeding a FA20 engine shortens its life.

Your experience may differ -

I wonder just how many can tell the difference between United Kingdom, Great Briton and England without looking it up.

From here page 35: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/201...8V772-6522.pdf

"CALIFORNIA REGISTERED OWNERS The California Air Resources Board requires that emission related campaigns be completed prior to California’s vehicle registration renewal process; without this repair, you will not be able to register your vehicle during your next annual registration. Upon completion of this campaign, your California dealer will complete and provide you a “Proof of Correction Certificate.” If required, present the certificate to the California Department of Motor Vehicles (the “DMV”) when renewing your California registration as proof of campaign completion. If the DMV does not request the certificate, we recommend that you keep it for your records."

And from here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/201...8V772-0191.pdf

"NOTE (Customers who live in the state of California)
The state of California requires the completion of Safety Recalls / Service Campaigns on emission related parts prior to vehicle registration renewal. In addition, the State requires that every vehicle must pass an
emission test (SMOG Check) every two years and before it is sold. Without the completion of this FREE Safety Recall, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will not allow your vehicle to be registered. State of
California Regulations require Toyota to provide the Department of Motor Vehicles with a record of all vehicles that have not had the Safety Recall completed. Your Toyota dealer will provide you with a Vehicle Emissions Recall Proof of Correction Form after the campaign has been completed. Please ensure you retain this form, because the DMV may require that you supply proof that the campaign has been completed during your vehicle registration renewal process."
