has anyone made the brz bumper drl to turn signals?

The reason for the question is that I recently traded for some monogram hid headlights for a new look. Since the monograms themselves have a drl strip the best choice is to make the bumper drl into signals.

How's the difficulty on making them into turn signals? I don't have any experience doing any splicing work

it's not easy unless you've got soldering and smd rework experience.

There's a lot about that board that doesn't make sense...

how so? i know the design works functionally, as i breadboarded the entire thing back then before starting on that replacement pcb for the oem resistor pack.

It just looked like there are a lot of large unused traces, which I just now realized could be omitted components. Also, can't tell if the drl+ traces to 1 or 3 through holes on the backside.

I don't actually practice dark magi... Err electrical engineering, so I wasn't remarking on the functionality. Well, there was that one time with the lab manager back in college...

I see, yes, there's 6 missing components on that version, making it more difficult to understand. Above each sot89-5 is a current sense resistor, and to the lower right of each sot89-5 is an inductor. Both values are set based on desired output current, something i haven't figured out yet. And then near each input is a capacitor for power filtering.

The board is single-sided, any holes are jumper wire through holes(pcb payback for not putting the effort into a doubled sided design) , with the exception of the drl connections that reuse the existing drl through hole connectors.

I'll never claim to know everything, I'm entirely self-taught when it comes to pcb layout, so was mostly curious about where i could improve in the future.
