That's true I forgot about that.

I heard that Nissan spent a lot of money engineering the way the 350Z sounds. For the cost of this car, I hope Toyota doesn't waste their money on making this car sound super special. I'm sure most people will change exhausts anyway.

Yeah they do that to not reveal the design, but so they can still drive around and test it.

im in love. scion concept is awesome.
especially like the rear spoiler integrated into the hatch. much better looking rear than the ft86-II concept and alike to the ae86 trd kit.. mmmm. side profile is pure car porn. jizz in my pants. can see the 2000GT in it.
love how this car is actually quite small, something we can chuck around on the track. 1.5way LSD please hoping along the lines of 200hp at 1000kg for a dream driver. oh the anticipation...
Hope toyota introduce a lame spec cheaper version for the masses therefor high production run and plenty spare parts in future. And a stripped down version for the dorifto kings.
Could the vents under the LED headlights be to cool the actual LED's? This because high power LEDs create heat, enough that they'll burn out and create the magic smoke if sufficient heat transfer not designed into their housings. Also LEDs reduce light output the hotter they get. Would this suggest that LEDs are in fact destined to be in the production version? Lets hope so. I can blind oncoming cars with just 3 cree XML's at 3.7v 2.8amp ea on the push bike. LED technology is surpassing HID in most ways these days.
interesting of the placement of the bonnet/hood front vent. too far forward to assist radiator airflow. maybe some ducting in there for some form of venting something else? or does it reduce the air pressure in front of the radiator duct at speed to aid slipstream? maybe a flap that closes up when extra cooling required like the ae86 Levin grill.

i've just read 40+ pages of peeps saying how toyota are going to do this or that. people assume WAY too much.

That one is not camouflaged, it's just a mule. It's a chopped up Impreza and/or Legacy with prototype running gear.

Not really, from the way you were describing it. They put camo on a car with production ready bodywork so that they don't reveal the final design. A mule is an early stage test-bed that lets a car company start testing before there is any design to hide. All of the tape on that thing is just there to conceal which company it belongs to.

Ah I see. Yeah that would be more correct. I meant that too, but I guess I wasn't clear enough.

Judging from Subies design philosophy, this may be their production version.
