Why does the spare sticks out like that? How do you use the trunk?

I am loving the look of this and just as I thought I had decided on black, this makes me wonder! Altho I think this car in black would look ridiculous (in a good way ) However, I like the idea of a full-size spare, but I am not loving the way it's put in there. Takes away much needed trunk space that is already at a premium for a car this small and for making it a regular trunk instead of a hatch...

Hmm after seeing this in red, I have decided I like blue better lol. And why is the wheel so huge? Couldn't they have made it so the floor of the trunk is flat?

Oh that spare is a real mixed bag. On the one hand, day in day and especially on long road trips, I would want to keep the spare in there. On the other hand, road trips usually mean hauling a bunch of stuff with you, and that's gonna make it hard with a big spare in the trunk.

Maybe they can provide some kind of cargo tray that is higher in the middle and lower on the sides to make cargo a little easier with the spare in the trunk. Eh, still want this car... or the BRZ. Have not decided yet. Not till all options and pricing are revealed.

I do like the 16s, but that body kit is terrible especially the wing.

Just based on this picture I would guess the OEM spare tire is a mini donut because of less space where the rear diff is located. However, if you need to carry 4 track tire, I guess it is done like this:

* take out the space and use that spot to put one full-size track tire
* stack the second one on top of it
* put the rest two tires on the back seat, just like that shown in the manual

I would hope for a full-size spare tire, but I don't think there would be enough space to store it flush under the trunk being a RWD car.

I don't know, maybe I'm just old but that looks pretty horrible. Maybe on a full track only car, but on the street... Pretty terrible.

Good luck fitting a wheel with less than +35 offset and keep it streetable. Stock is +48 offset, just look at that spare. The back of the bolt circle is almost flush with the front face of the rim. Its gonna take some fender chopping to get these cars herrafrush.

Love that front bar , looks kinda like the front bar from the 2nd concept. This is so going to be my Aero kit. Got a feeling its gonna be pricey
