Well... there is. Cactus looking plant called Euphorbia resinifera. The resin supurge produce a chemical called “resiniferatoxin” which makes 16,000,000,000 Scoville units! Yes you read that correctly SIXTEEN BILLION!!!

The Reaper chili pepper flakes I have aren't as bad as the actual pepper itself nor if it was in sauce form but it's no slouch.

Well, it’s not for eating. It’ll prob burn or kill off whatever it touches. But as for Scoville level, that’s the highest... atm

That is really interesting, though. Tonight I learned about the vanilloid receptor 1, and the TRPV1 gene which builds it.
