L's Raven GT86 2012 - Norway

Hi folks =)

Yesterday I signed the papers for the purchase of my first Toyota GT86

It's currently 1 900KM (1 200miles) away from me though, and with the driving conditions here in Norway this time of year, I'm seriously considering putting it on a train for transport back home.

The car is a 2012 model, with 41 000KM (25 500miles) already driven, and factory warranty coverage until August of this year.

The only pictures I have to share with you are the ones for the AD itself:

BTW: These two is what I'm switching from

Man those Euro spec headlights/10 series headlights/monogram headlights look so much better than the regular US spec ones we get!

Brave for getting black! Looks great!

Congrats! Enjoy your 86. Funny you had to wait for a manual black, in the Netherlands 90% of the cars available are black

Any plans for the future?

Thanks!

If the story I have heard is true, it had something to do with the dealerships or the importer ordereing a lot of standard orange colored automatics during the first years.

Plans this far:
- 18x9 +40 wheels with 225/40/18 (2x - summer & winter)
- Coilovers
- A clean lip kit
- Duck tail or whale tail

@Clipdat:

Think I've read somewhere that Scion sold the FR-S as a budget car. If that's the case, it would explain the headlights. And maybe other things, I'm new to these cars ;-)

Here in Norway a new 86 costs aprox $58 000...

Car looks perfect! Love when I see clean stock ones (Though it almost seems as if its lowered already haha)

Enjoy the car and have a fun and safe build!

Good eye, it does look slightly lower that stock. TRD springs maybe?

Agreed. I was really disappointed in Scion's version of the headlights.

Went to pick up my dirty girl yesterday Unloaded from the train just hours before.

She was delivered on studded winter tires But man! What a dream to drive!

Bought unseen, untested. Never driven one of these before. The best purchase of my life!

I also payed the invoice for my new rim's (retailer required payment before ordering with the manufacturer), and the new tires are already on their way and payed for as well

Now I only have to wait for the carrier's $650 invoice for bringing the car to me...

I thought the ride was pretty stiff when I drove it back home yesterday, so I called the DMV now just to check.

The car is approved with KW Automotive suspension

Why the dealer wrote Sachs in the AD is beyond me, but I'm happy

Now I'll just have to lift it up to know which version I have ^^,

Nice unexpected bonus. You paid enough for this twin, you deserved a nice surprise!
