Match stock Scion emblem paint color

I'm going to put Toyota badges on my FR-S but I like the matte finish of the Scion badges. Has anyone found a good match for that? Spray paint or plastidip or otherwise

Yick, 90% of the reason I swapped was for the chrome toyota badge. It looks amazing on my Raven.

There just isn't enough chrome on the rest of the car to go with it

Look for a can of matte clear coat at your local parts store. You may need to scuff them up and spray them silver before laying the clear on, just so it sticks.

Use the clear first and see if you like it. If you want it more satin or something spray the glossifier on top. Don't just do both because if you don't like it you can't peal only the glossifier. You have to start over again.

Match stock Scion emblem paint color

The silver won't be necessary

Btw there is a really good channel with a lot of info and tips on PlastiDip. It's called DipYourCar. They posted a video about dipping emblems and another about using glossifier correctly recently, so check them out.

There's hardly any chrome on the car. However, there is lots of matte silver on the car. I'd rather match whatever is already on the car. Get it now?

i have been looking for this scion emblem silver color for a very long time. no info on it anywhere. the scion emblem silver looks so much better than the ugly toyota chrome emblems. i painted my toyota emblems silver a few different times and while it's always looked better on my whiteout it still isnt quite the same silver as scion uses from the factory.

If anyone has any info on this color please respond

So three step:
1. Sand as much as you can (1000-1500 grit paper), so it won't peal off as the years roll by
2. Use a silver paint (i'd think a primer/paint would be best). There are different shades of silver, i'll try to find a lighter to medium shade, like the Scion emblem color.
3. Use the matte clear coat over that.

Sweet, I will do this project this weekend, and take some pictures (I've never posted pics here, but shouldn't be too difficult)
