I wonder what the reason is for disabling that on the BRZ, but not the 86? I wonder where in the system the cut out is, and if replacing something with an 86 part could get it to work?

Speaking as a software engineer, my assumption is it's some restrictive logic in the code somewhere. Just don't know what's responsible for the display. Is that usually the ECU or something else?

all the canbus cars I have ever worked on the dash is its own module that receive's its info from "the gateway", dashes are usually programmed from the factory as "this or that" while the guts of each dash are the same. in theory (as long as there is not theft prevention software) you should be able to install a 86 dash in to a BRZ and have all the G-meter items work, or activate the feature via the software.

What are people paying for their TS? How much of a discount? I know these aren’t selling for sticker. There’s too many in inventory.

Depending on the discount, the TS might be a better buy than a standard BRZ due to the limited avaibility.

My area still has them marked up $2500, but I got mine for $500 under MSRP the day it arrived. (Mine was the first one purchased in Los Angeles.)

According to autotrader, the lowest tS is priced $32,386. What they're actually selling for is another story.

I happily paid MSRP for mine (minus a $500 ambassador offer), and the fun and memories I've had it with it already outweigh the money I would have saved by waiting. That's just me though.

The ones in my area are selling them for 3.3k under sticker and that’s not even trying. I may have to pick one up soon.

The difference in handling was immediate, and it wasn't just the tires. I already had grippy tires on my old BRZ.

If you do, make sure to join the owner's thread!

Are all the tS allocations already at dealership lots, or are there still some in-transit?

I didn't see anything about removal of the spare tire for additional weight savings, so I'm assuming a spare is still included?

Just some thoughts about putting the tS on a diet.

Premium: 2,789
Limited: 2,798
tS: 2,842

Spare tire and tools: 30lbs
OZ Alleggerita 17x8 +48: 15.7 each; 29lbs total in weight savings

I'm estimating the stock 18'' wheels are at least 23lbs. Someone please confirm.

tS on a diet: 2,842 - 30 - 29 = 2,783lbs

Throw in an Ace 350 catless header and tune and this is looking pretty good.

I paid 32,200 for my Black tS about 2 months ago.
