Yes, it sure is annoying. People have said my car sounds like its going to die. But I have learned to live with it via music and exhaust
so far it seems to be working good. it was 90+ *f yesterday and my intake temps were up to 110+ while sitting in traffic and there was no chirping. I've only put about 150 miles on it yesterday but it looks promising.

*the car also didn't burst into flames which was a nice bonus

My warranty won't be up for another god knows how many miles. It was a certified pre-owned package deal. Had 1800 miles when I bought it. I tried to negotiate a discount by declining it but they wouldn't budge. Besides, I have no poker face, no game. They knew they had me.

Anyhow, my point is that I never cared because no ham fisted, hammer-wielding jackass except me is ever going to touch it.

That actually reminds me of why I didn't try hard with the whole declined warranty angle. The first time I discussed it was when we were buying Mrs. Ultra's Camry.

Just before we left it was literally three on one when I said something along the lines of, "...and now you're resorting to this? Shame on all you guys."

Then as the door closed behind us I said under my breath, "Oh the car's fine. Just come get it tomorrow."

I should've done this, find a car where someone had regrets and traded it in. Probably could have bought it at 2-3k less than what I paid.

Oh well. I really wanted a new car due to no one else farting in it.

But nobody had regrets buying the Lava so you would only have found blue. Probably the guy got the blue and 1,800 miles later figured he should have got Lava so traded it at a horrible loss.
