Yeah it's a German car, it's motto is high maintenance and if any little part breaks ooops that's like an easy $500 right there. To answer your second question, no I've never owned one but I would not need to own one to know about it's issues. I wanted an E46 M3 before but that beauty also has reliability issues.

When someone does a research before buying a car usually you'll research about the cons and flaws. like the BRZ and FRS some cars did not come out perfect some of them have issues aswell. Lots of issues actually but did it stop me or you from buying it? Nope why cause there are good feedback out there.

same as the Eurocars. I never had a problem with my 2011 c300 and my 2011 M3 if i ever do both are covered with bumper to bumper warranty.

And FYI my before I purchased m3 i did my research about it pros and cons. I also made sure that i got the extended warranty, free maintenance which includes coverage of wear and tear items (brakes, shocks, battery, brake pads and even wipers) for 4500 and thats till 2019. so its not really that expensive.

Ummm you never owned one so i guess you can never really tell your just basing what your saying on what people say.

Agreed and this is the internet, I take nothing personal or seriously. You oughta see jalopnik, they go all out of BMW owners. Funny story, they made an article a year or two ago about "How BMW owners drive like assholes" or something to that effect. What it really boils down to is that most of their readers are jealous assholes who can't afford $50,000 cars so they dump on anyone who has a nicer car than theirs.

I must say, I find the new BMWs (esp the bigger ones-- 5, 6, and 7 series) pretty heinous. The 3 series and 1 series aren't bad looking though.

They're certainly a lot heavier than our cars though. Funny thing-- the 328 owner is now a lightweight convert and is going to replace that BMW with either a Toyubaru or a Lotus Elise :P

I, too, would have been pretty tempted by an Elise (basically one of the best handling cars ever made and costs little more than a BRZ) but it's basically like buying a motorbike. It's possibly the world's least practical car... two seats (one of which is bolted in place and completely un-adjustable) and a trunk with barely enough room for a briefcase and that gets incredibly hot since it's basically just some extra space in the engine bay.

On the plus side, with its high performance, tiny, heated trunk and great fuel economy it might be the world's best pizza delivery vehicle!

That was a travesty seeing a friggin pizza sign on the car but it was an FRS after all. A WRB BRZ with a sign like that would qualify as a capital offense and punishable by hanging.

Oh yeah but the trunk is in the front. lol I think there is storage in the back though, that pizza would be a mess because that storage space is narrow as hell. I don't think a large pizza box would fit in that crescent shaped compartment. *shrug*
