It's 2.5L Boxer. If I highly doubt Toyota/Subaru gonna make Honda engine (not insulting Honda engines). I'm pretty sure Torque will come in mid range if they make it in 2.5L

That sounds great then!!! I know what you mean about Honda engines and that's why I wont buy another one unless things drastically change over at Honda. |

Subaru made their engine more towards low end tq due to AWD, so I'm guessing Toyota will change that into mid range power (cuz mid range power is important to drift) & doesn't really need low end for FR car.

If anything, I would hope this is just an option. I'd much rather have the ~200hp direct injected NA 2.0 boxer.

221hp @ 8,000 and 1,000kg... very accurate!

Well Motor Trend is saying it'll have a current generation 305 hp STI motor and changing the front-end for either an H4 or Inline 4 depending on whether it's Toyota or AWD Subaru.
Compared to that, PD's version looks way more accurate. Knock 10% off the power and add 10% to the weight and you have the production model.

Jeez, its been a while since I lurked around here.
I still can't wait to see this car in production, but count me out as a buyer since I just invested my money into this bad boy: 2007 Yamaha r6 with 5,500 miles for $5,300, found it on clist from a 29 year old lady. Mods: -Puig DB windscreen -Driven D3 grips -Motodynamic smoked integrated tail light -Reflectors Removed -Passenger Peg Delete -Motowizard Preload Adjusters -Vortex Swingarm Spools -Frame Sliders -Fender Eliminator Full exhuast, Power Commander, Steering Damper, LOTS of Carbon Fiber, Vortex rear sets, rear seat cowl (color matched) and lots more to come. /threadjack |

Thanks!
The candy red was only made in 2007. Pretty rare, especially in good condition. The only other one-year colors they produced are charcoal and yellow. It was a huge jump from my 250cc Hyosung, but it's so fun. It flies. |

The graffitis are actually really good looking. My backup choice for a supersport was definitely honda, the cbr is nice. Not that I'd want a liter bike, but the 1000rr is sooooo sexy

@ichi: True that, the car is supposed to be a drifter, so mid range is more likely for the car. I only hope the redline is going to be high.

If you look for a Honda(either bike or car), get the one made in Japan. I have had a bad experience with Hondas made in Thailand, the scooters Honda Air Blade(110cc) and Click(110cc) just consume more fuel than my dual-purpose dirt bike Honda XR250 (250cc, Japan made) after 2 years of usage life. I think you're good because for a sport bike, only CBR250R made in Thailand. However, Honda Cub FTW LOL |

Basically, what I'm trying to say is, regardless of what badge this vehicle wears, it will be an engineering marvel with consideration of which automakers designed and built it. If it comes out as a Scion and I decide it's right for me, I'll buy one.
