I just did the adjustment on mine to point them lower and now it's great! Sure there's a bit of glare, but I don't foresee it being a major issue.

Almost pure white. With the tiniest tinge of blue. Blue is slightly more noticeable in real life. 5000k is perfect!

Looks good! But surprised you went from a Nismo 370 to a fr-s, seems like a big downgrade.

Could almost get 2 FR-S for the price of one Nismo here in Toronto, lol.

Lol well after everything is said and done, my FR-S will have $40,000 invested in it. That's car + body kit + wheels + turbo + suspension. And it'll be faster and look better and have more practicality than the Z. Overall it's worth it, just a tough transition and patience was required. In the end it's a good decision. Wasn't immediately a good one though.

Aren't you guys blinding oncoming traffic with these? Without the proper housing these WILL cause accidents.

I think you are blowing the amount of light that is getting to oncoming traffic way out of proportion. And if you do bend down the squirrel thing you will have no problems. My cutoff line looks pretty good. There's some light above it for sure, but you can barely even see it. Oncoming traffic might see 1% of your light output above the cutoff line. And that is certainly nowhere anywhere near to blind them. The only benefits to the retrofit is that it looks better, has a better cutoff, and you will be satisfied that it is a true HID conversion. But I'm not willing to spend all that money on a slightly better cutoff and an ease of mind. There are many other cars out there that suffer the blinding traffic problem with non retrofit HIDs. The FR-S isn't one of them.

Actually, i thought the issue wasnt light being seen above the cut off, but the amount of light that is thrown out right before the cut off.

Correct me if im wrong, i thought these squirrel-finders help throw out more light near the cut off to illuminate road signs, which with HIDs is not needed cause its already bright. And thats what a lot of people complaining about; this undriveable, people will crash and burn, hell will fall apart glare.

Personally, i havent had any issues when i ask my friends to drive at me oncoming. But no real tests, i do assume its more bright.

I've asked a couple of my friends in low cars and SUV's to drive in the oncoming in different situations. We tried highway without barrier, highway with barrier, 1 lane back roads, etc. They said they saw no issue, I also have 5000k's which are only 300k from being the very brightest of colors. Not even the friend with a slammed RX-7 had an issue. His comment was "damn dude, those HID's look very stock".

We have a rule? If so, no I don't know about it. Only been here for a year.
