Diy F1 rear flasher?

Anyone have a diy for the rear fog to be setup as a F1 style brake light? I know they sell kits but I would rather make one myself

Jesus Christ no. Just no.

Seeing annoying shit like this on cars makes me fantasize about ramming the hell out of them with my dad's old '59 Chevy pickup. If you do this to your car, I hope every cop you see gives you a ticket.

FYI, F1 cars don't have rear flashing lights. They're just solid lights, but the camera frame rate makes them look like they blink.

Actually it does blink sometimes this year. It's solid in the rain, but a sudden reduction of power will cause the light to blink even in the dry. This is the first link I could dig up explaining it, http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/112930 under the section "New Warning Light System for 2014."

Really? I was disappointed when I discovered it didn't do anything. It even feels like there's an unfinished lamp housing up in there.

Its a fog light in other countries that allow that. USA does not. Also F1's don't blink unless its for a hazardous reason, not braking. Adding blinky lights to your car is tacky and illegal.

I just want to put this out, flashing third brake lights are illegal. A pulsing light is 100% legal in all 50 states, but before you install a controller check what the local law is. I know some states, like California, limit pulsing lights to up to 4 pulses within the first 5sec of the petal being pushed.
