Carbon hood and hood dampers??

The issue: since my vortech kit required the relocation of the hood prop, I attempted to do so with only finding out that the relocation would not work since my cusco strut tower bar is in the way. This in turn led me to get the greddy hood dampers which I love , but leaves concern when it comes to applying the hood dampers to a carbon hood such as the vented seibon one with the six vents.

Any ideas or anyone that has achieved using hood dampers on a carbon hood? I'm not sure if the seibon comes w threaded holes like the oem hood.

Thanks in advance!

FYI, most of the hood strut manufacturers suggest using the stock hood only, as that is what the struts are tuned for. That said, seibon hoods weigh about the same as the stock hood, so they should work out fine.

For a bit of an update, the GReddy mounting plates are kinda ugly. They have this odd square shape and don't look like they were designed for the car. The dampers are of good quality and have no problems supporting the weight of the hood, but the brackets to me don't look very nice.

The greddy ones are complete shit. They already went out and the driver side mount is bent. Just ordered grimmspeed today due to some research and YouTube vids.

Note: don't get seibon hoods and don't get greddy dampers hahah.

Thanks guys!

I haven't had a problem with the dampers thus far, but like I said before, the mounting brackets look like garbage.

It's like, when I'm with the local Scion fellows, they're all oh that's neat, then they look at the brackets and I can see the wtf on their faces.
