Anyone that doesn't want to get some fancy wheels can just buy Konig Ultraforms. Very inexpensive wheels, 17x7 ET40 weighing 17.0 lbs. Perfectly aligned to SSC spec, to the nth degree.

I mean, even if we all bought identical pre-prepped cars, someone could spend a bunch of money on a personal trainer to loose weight and gain more of a weight advantage than any of the parts being discussed now. The spec rules just mean we don't HAVE to spend a bunch of money. I can't think of any rule, or set of rules, that could stop all competitors from spending money. |

The wheels were ~$150 each on sale and the wheel weights were basically free. My Enkei's for CS cost....more. |

I think all this wheel talk is just a sign that people still want the ability to personalize their car, and not run something that is completely OTS. 17lbs is cake. There are practically dozens of options out there, in the range of 17-18lbs. If someone wants to spend $600/wheel just to have something that looks different, then more power to them. |

I still say drive it more. It's never going to be a valuable car, and it's actually not completely terrible in the snow. And you get some wtf looks when you roll into a ski area.
