I love the nose! Don't listen to the haters. They probably think F1 cars are ugly too.

Better a BMW I-6 turbo than a Toyota I-4 turbo. Plus that means DSG too! Toyota doesn't have any DSGs.

It just dawned on me that the FT1 Supra is already out... but disguised as the Lexus RCF. I'm placing my bets that it will share the same chassis. Everything else wilk be different obviously.

I don't think that's right. Where does the RC fit in with BMW?

FT1 development is tied to future BMW Z4 according to many reports.

Yup, this is one possible scenario.

Actually that is also just a rumor at this point. We still don't know what the BMW/Toyota car will be at all. It is possible that FT-1 will be done in house and underpin the Lexus IS-F/RC-F. The latest rumors are saying the partnership between BMW and Toyota will produce a new modular platform that will result in 4 sports car. Two for BMW and two for Lexus.

The 1st car: BMW and Lexus could be getting a new Z4 replacement "Z5" (along with a Lexus version).

The 2nd car: A second larger roadster to fight the Mercedes SL with (SC430 replacement? / rumored BMW Z7).

Just rumors, so take it with a gain of salt.

ft1 vs rcf... I honestly can't see Toyota making two totally different chassis for two cars that will be sort of similar in performance and size.

I love the grey version much better than the red. I guess this is the MK2 (Concept 2)

That is not going to be a production ft-1. But you're right. It looks great.

Cross-linking the thread I posted with newer images of the FT-1 since apparently the general automotive discussions thread isn't an apt forum to post them in - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...07&postcount=1
