We thought the criticism was too little talk.

To all those who are anxious to hear an announcement, rest assured we are not sitting here just playing with you. We have some good news for you, however we don’t want to release details about it until we are completely comfortable that we can deliver. The last thing we want to do is offer you an EcuTek product that doesn’t do what it says it should do.

Thank you for your patience everyone.

You’ve had some news at least. There is more to come. Sorry it’s hard work waiting.

I'm pretty excited even if it takes a little time. Sometime the best products just don't happen overnight. I'm already invested so I'm not picky on the wait. Quality over quantity!

It better be news for the automatic. You have been a big let down in that area if I do say so myself. We get charged the same for no features and no support. Oh wait it's not the gtr so who cares right.

I'm sure if everyone talks more crap they will feel more welcome.

Seriously, can't this thread stay on topic about new announcements and not just people trying to make clever remarks?

What features are you after?? It's not like you can have many features on an auto and the pricing you should take up with your tuner and not ECUtek IMO.

I agree, you guys have done so well about not jumping down their throats and making them feel welcome. It's not like they've produced a reliable tuning platform or anything

They charge for the license price. But offer no features for the auto. I'm paying 300 for a tune that goes to my tuner. And 300 for a license that goes to them. The tuner just tunes they don't have control over shift points how hard or soft the trans shifts ect. Unless Ecutek digs into the TCM software my tuner cant do a single thing.

I paid for my lic way back in the spring so its moot they already have my money. But it would be nice to see some support.

To be fair, what you are effectively asking is for them to do all the R&D they did to get the ECM flashable to the TCM and then spread that cost among everyone. The things that manuals get that autos don't are not a function of anything ECUTEK is or is not doing, you just have a transmission (and TCM) that they have not cracked yet for reasons that are not mine to speculate on.

If they had done the work and then spread the cost out to everyone it would be just as easy to say the manual drivers are being overcharged because of the extra R&D required for the automatic. It's a bummer for sure but it also is just the reality. I don't know what percentage of their market is auto, but I doubt it would be cost effective to spread the extra cost of TCM R&D around only those customers or even how they would manage that.

better yet, if you care about performance enough to buy a tune, shift your own damn gears and be done with it

if it were my company i wouldn't support automatics, because racecar.
