I switched back to Visconti's stage2 tune last night from the fa20club stage2. My god it rips soooo much harder! Bring the knock! fa20clubs tune idled like crap, my CEL has been on for over a week, logs have been sent and still nothing. I don't know what all the hype was about Toni over Visconti. Just my personal experience. I do agree that the fa20club tune is much smoother with less NVH, that part was very nice. Im not a fanboi of either tuner, just trying to find the best for my car.

That doesn't look too bad, but the way your IAM dropped like crazy and worked its way back up seems very strange to me.

That looks like a really safe tune. The ECU is giving the car as much extra timing as it can when you made the pull. It looks like the car could use some more timing.

Yeah, my log above was from the STG2 Visconti tune too, and we have a fairly similiar setup. Not really any knock issues. I flashed a few other tunes I had a while back and my idle was shit and they didn't pull nearly as hard. I hope all this negativity towards John Visconti doesn't deter him from making some more improvements moving forward. I didn't have any bad experiences with him...

I think I was at e76 on flex fuel at that time if that helps at all.

Novice opinion:

From what I understand, this is pretty perfect. You have zero actual knock, and it's pouring on timing (positive knock correction) under WOT. Very safe no issues. Could probably get away with even more advance.

As to the Iketiak...IAM dropping like a rock is worrisome. That's also a lot of consistent -2 counts. I'd have some timing pulled out of it. Not sure why IAM dropped SO drastically over a -2, but that's more KR then I'd be comfortable with personally.

I used to have a Visconti tune. Not bad, except for the weird noises I would sometimes hear under the hood.

Anyways.. Now I have a BrzEdit tune and I have not experienced a single high temperature incident under my hood. IATs tend to skyrocket under those conditions.

Anyways..

Burnt a brz with his flexfuel kit which was leaking, ignores the 86 community ( supposedly for legal reasons), but then he goes to the gtr forums explaining how it wasn't his fualt and bla bla bla ( acting super nice)

So can't tell the people that are effected the most but can talk about it on another forum... Yeah that's some solid legal advice he got given there.

Cheers.

Visconti Tuning - Latest BRZ Flash Info

I made a comment on the GTR forum and when I did the thread that was on here was closed. I asked a moderator it open it back up so I could comment and they wanted me to make a new thread, I declined. I'm legally not involved in anything, have been patiently waiting for a report. When this report is done I would be glad to talk details.

Back in August was the last time we had a major RaceRom update from EcuTek for the BRZ. After they updated BRZ they moved on to WRX/STi, the updated RaceRom for WRX/STI is a big one so we have been hard at work testing and updating those customers. The most exciting stuff we're involved with right now is the new GTR stuff. It's been super time consuming testing all that stuff out but excited to see the new stuff they've done go into BRZ. It's super clever stuff.

We've also seen that the open source guys have been moving forward quickly causing brzedit to lower they're pricing.. It's also caused a discussion between all the dealers and EcuTek. Lots of great ideas going around and I'm looking forward to EcuTek's announcement.

We are in Vegas one more day then back to work!

We are also expecting a RaceRom update in the next few weeks, when it hits we'll be release a big tune update.

John
