Nice! That seems like a great deal for you guys. Go for it. Give her a gift card for a spa day. That should do the trick for her.

Also AKAIK the Tokyo Autoshow is actually in Yokohama. Anyone actually booking hotels might want to double check, it may save an hour or so of commuting.

It is in Tokyo at Tokyo Big Sight close to the water front.

I was pretty sure one or the other was in Yokohama (it's basically a suburb like how Narita airport is in Chiba) and a lot of journalists would get hotels in Tokyo, only to end up taking a 45+ minute train ride to Yokohama.

That map gives me a headache. If that is Tokyo bay area, Tsukiji fish market should be near, and a Toyota science/tech tourist center.

It's in Koto, close to Shinagawa and Haneda Airport. It's very close to the water.

Flights seem to be ranging from $900-1100 on Kayak when flying out Wed Nov 30th and departing Thurs Dec 8th.

The show is Dec 3rd-Dec 11th and 1500 yen!

I have a poll just to see how many interested would be generated. A FT86club meet up would be sick!
Sorry RRnold, i totally would go too for a FT86club Japan Meet, but my birthday is on Dec.4 and my anniversary is on the 5th, and my daughter is to young to be going on overseas flights because i would want to take her with me.

But hay think about it.. Around this time next year we can start planning national meets if we have a big enough community. 2012/2013 86Fest
