Can you describe in more detail how you know when the ps fails? Does it come back after not on the limit driving or require a full stop and cool down. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

The feel and functionality remains 100%, you just need truck-driver arms Comes back very quickly, normally half-way around my cool-down lap, the PS is fully back. I'm so used to it, I don't notice it any more. Except when I watch my track videos, and hear myself huffing and puffing It should never happen with road tyres, only semis or full slicks, and only if you're "working" the wheel. Here's the only video I've ever taken of me driving. You'll see almost nothing through the windscreen, but you'll see what I mean by "working" the wheel. Takes 10 minutes or more of that sort of driving with sticky tyres to make it overheat. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS-c6H-ja4w"]Red Star 9 Sep 2016 - YouTube[/ame]

My guess is that the main ECU gets a new program load when the wiring loom and ps ECU are replaced |

Steering ECU
Hi just had mine replaced with the 60,000km service, its a simple thing to do unplug old and insert new. Don't need a brain surgeon to do it.

Did 60,000km service at Toyota Bedfordview. I was told the PS ECU replacement is labour intensive and I needed to leave my car there overnight 😮 Does that sound reasonable?
