The next (and I think final) autocross of the year is this Sunday in Livonia, at the police training center:

Details here:
http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=14742

This is very easy to get to, right off I96 and Middlebelt road.
Cost to watch: FREE
Cost to Ride: Free
Cost to Race: 35 dollars or so?

This will be the final event for the year in my FR-S I think, and I'm more than willing to take some people for rides, but I highly encourage you to enter your car and compete. It's not hard on the car, there's nothing to hit, several other novices there, and you'll have a great time. Hope to see some people out there either way.

I CALL SHOTGUN! , for one ride at least.

I had two over privileged teenagers in, what looked like an 0'6 Mustang GT, Rev the hell out of their engine as I get in my car and about to leave Hooters in Farmington Hills.

I was more annoyed I couldn't Rev back cause I just took out my muffler delete.

Wow that sucks man. Reving and being an ass is one thing but you never touch someone's car.

Anyone here have a short throw shifter? Our cars have pretty short throws already but the gearing ratio of the cars makes 1st to 2nd is annoying when youre not driving like a maniac.

I do not like how 1st gear @ 10 mph is already past 2k rpm. then when I granny shift to second I get a torque burst that makes the car judder. I may be driving it wrong but I have been driving manual since I got my license 10 years ago.

I like setting off in 2nd just because I can get up to 17mph and barely past 2k rpm.
1st gear is just too short for getting the car going.

Anyways. enough about my bitching. Does anyone have a Kartboy or TWM or BPS short shifter installed to their car? I havent done my research but which one gives the highest reduction in throws? I kinda want to make the whole shifter shorter and the reverse lockout be lower or hidden inside the shifter boot.. I would like to be able to rest me elbow on my cup holder area and still shift.

My post maybe all over the place right now but this forum is getting less attention and im just hoping for some input.

@SeanRTR Thanks for the amazing runs and letting me ride passenger. I'm sold. I'm going to get my car out for the next Auto-X (next summer FML) and make a fool out of myself. Thanks to Matt too for that amazing ride in his porsche!

Glad you made it out. Hopefully we can get some other 86 drivers out there and into the sport next year as well.
