With out a doubt I'd get a custom tune.

If I were to buy a KW system again I'd get the C38 with high boost pulley and have a custom charge pipe made. Then attach an electronic boost controller so you can get better low end response and have it blow off boost on the top end so you're not blowing your motor. This would also allow you to run multiple maps with different boost settings.

I don't really want to stick with the canned tune and I Wil be doing the install myself so I am contemplating the flash n go or driving it on the canned tune to dynosty two hours away and having them tune it (i just don't like the idea of having to drive/haul two hours for issues). My goals are reliability and somewhere north of 250 or 270hp (reason why I'm not going with the c38).

Anyone have any ideas on tune or how I should go about it

I'm very happy with moto-east. They send you a semi-custom tune for your car and you go back and forth with them sending them logs and Mike doing some fine tuning. I don't know if you have e85 in your area but that really makes the c30 kit come alive. You get more power everywhere and especially the midrange.

The c30 I feel is more than enough. I originally went back and forth with the c38 kit but with e85 and the c30 (~300whp), I break the rears loose rolling on the throttle in 3rd gear once I hit ~5000rpm. When I upgrade my tires (currently running 225/45/17 dunlop sport maxx/rs3), I might throw on the high boost pulley (~380whp) but I think that will just be ridiculous scary power. I've been running the c30/e85 kit all year and the power still is awesome when I get to use it.

That's great to hear. I have e85 semi close to me, about 15 miles and definitely have that on future plans.

It's the moto east more custom than the flash n go from delicous.

Tightened to 60-65 hertz using the Gates carbon drive app?

The belt system is really finicky on this kit. Set it to within that range and you should be OK. I did and my supercharger died before the belt had any issues. Call up Kraftwerks and order 2 belts just in case it happens again.

Also, as the weather changes pretty rapidly in Texas, I like to check the belt frequency after big temperature swings. I've had to tweak it some times.

I've had this kit installed for 28k miles and broken only 2 belts. Once on a dyno and another after a long day of driving hard in the mountains. Both those times, I had forgot to check the tension before the runs (my negligence).

I do now have 2 backup belts for peace of mind though. Kraftwerks/CJ has been very good at getting the belts out to me quickly after I contacted them.

Pluck it the same each time. You can easily cause that amount of variation just by the amount of force you use. The belt system is finicky and takes some diligence to stay on top of.

You sure it's not just too loose, I know when not tightened enough the gates app is either unable to give a reading or gives varying reading(as the loose causes the frequency to go all over the place)
