D'OH!!!! Let's hope the 2014's o-rings will hold up for the time being

I just noticed that although the ambient temp showed 85*, my intake air temp was jumping around in mid 90s. I guess I have my work cut out for me

Well.......my late night partying Friday night came at a very high price Sat morning..... The good news is my upgraded ST43 brake pads are AMAZING.....I was very impressed at the improved POWER....I say 50% more.....you can actually use the ABS now...and it does work quite well even with the crappy stock tires

I had to leave early Saturday due to a family issue and missed Sunday...I hope to make another event later in the year

I am considering but my data hasn't convinced me in a definitive way.

I ran 100 octane after the 2nd session (pumped in 7 gallons) because it was getting hot and I didn't want to pull timing.
I did the same, but I was also running OFT tune which incorporates the alleged DI seal software fix.

@BRZChix et al; before anyone gets flabbergasted about that time, I found the reason how it came to be. First, Mr. Doty @icemang17, surprisingly left on Saturday as he has posted to attend a family matter, so he missed Sunday. His transponder then was left behind at Thill and somehow recorded times as the system that collects these times was in use again on Sunday. Secondly, I know Mr. Doty is fast in his stock FR-S, but not yet is capable of warping (or teleporting) from one side of the track to the other, that I know of. NCRC and I communicated via emails and ultimately omitted that lap time from his sessions. I will post everyones' best times that ran the 86Cup this past weekend in the coming days.

On a similar subject, Thill is opening their new additional 2-mile track. And for the drivers that will be experiencing it for the first time in the coming weeks, please provide feedback. Good luck and drive safe - new track, new turns, new everything. But y'all knew that haha

Yeah i personally said hi to Brian as he left the track on Saturday, and i did not see him at all on sunday (there is no red 86s on sunday)

When i saw the result (discovery mode) it was more of an eye-opening to all the guys in Race run group

(especially when i told Jeff, "someone beat u by 40 seconds. thats a lot")

anyway, just want to take this thread to thank all 86 drivers as they were super helpful in guiding me (first time solo driver) on track, giving me rides (Jeff, Wilson, David, Garland), and give me advices on car prep

til the next time

So DI failure is related/caused by an ECU bug? That's really interesting. Hopefully they fixed it in the 2014s

I think the threads talking about the DI seal issue said the transient spark timing issue was fixed part way through the 2013 MY.
