I noticed the difference, but its not huge. Pedal feel is a bit firmer. Ever since day one, I felt that the BRZ's brakes felt a little too soft. I did pads first, then MCB and now lines. I'd do one at a time and stop when you feel it's good, some would say do pads and lines first but I felt like MCB was easier to install compared to lines so I tried it first, also do a good bleed. There have been cases where rubber lines have been compromised and rendered the user's brake pedal worthless. Obviously, that is bad biz when approaching a corner at 100+mph. |

I wanted to make it up to Thunder Hill to spectate tomorrow, but it looks like that's not gonna happen unfortunately.
Everyone who will be on the track tomorrow: PLEASE have a safe and enjoyable time. Looking forward to checking out the gopro videos!

Quick update!!!!! Good turn out and everyone had a great time!!! I managed a decent time in my bone stock FRS, but the highlight of my day was driving Jessies supercharged FRS.....much faster AND much more stable....honestly easier to drive than my stock FRS by a wide margin.... While getting sideways in almost every corner can be fun, it typically isn't fast
I'll let Jessie post the results |

Great time indeed. Decided to drive up to hang out and it didn't disappoint. Big thanks to @icemang17 for taking me out on the track twice and giving me a bit of a driving lesson as I sat shotgun.
Edit: I'm forwarding the pictures I took today to @MyRx so he can make a post with the times and such. However, I thought this one was worth sharing right away... That would be @PMok setting his fastest lap of the day.

Great photo @Pwolf ! can't wait to see the others from today.
Wow after waking up at 3AM to get out to Thunderhill before the break of dawn, driving all day long, and enduring the hot Willows climate, I am finally home and pretty much exhausted. But can't lay down in my sweet cool pillow and rest until I say thank you to @MyRx for making the NorCal 86Cup a reality and thank you to those of you who came out and participated, or even just showed interest in this series. I have lots of video footage and track logging to pore over in the coming days and hopefully find some cool stuff to share. ok G'NIGHT!

Awesome day! Thanks to all the that participated. Big thanks to the spectators - burgers definitely hit the spot and @Pwolf, you have a PM for the pictures.
Thanks for the instructions and tips @icemang17. The ride alongs in your car and in mine were positively unexpected . Much appreciated the time spent with us - the talks, tips, and ride alongs were an awesome part of our day. The confidence did go up a notch understanding more of the car and capibilites rather than the venue of the day. @PMok, @Pwolf and crew. Big thanks! It was great having you guys around. I will post results in the coming days. Pwolf was busy taking pictures, PMok and I have videos to sift thru. Everyone ran great and drove within their limits. A change in NCRC's handling of the 86Cup participants - we will get more of an oppurtunity to get clean lap(s) but still must be in the Point-By group or higher.

A 2:11 was achieved yesterday at thill with the bypass in a fairly stock FR-S/BR-Z driven by an experienced S2K racer and the owner in the car. I will confirm the owner's mods but I believe he had only ZIIs. The owner is not online often.
Also, @icemang17 piloted my Vortech FR-S to a 2:13 before we had to pit for CEL. He didn't drive it like he did his stock FR-S and the brakes had too much bite. Granted, if he had more time with the car, he would have utilized the brakes to his advantage. 2:18 in his 100% stock FR-S. Either way, impressive drivers!!!

still poring through my videos, but thought I'd share this close encounter I had with an FD RX-7 ... he clearly had power to pass me on the straight, but um... yeah the video is self explanatory.
