that's why we had 4 seats in such a small car.

Yesterday I was at a red light jamming to a song. This girl beside me is waving trying to get my attention. So i put my window down and she says "hey, nice car" and she smiled and drove off.

Lol..too bad about the "drove off" part.

In all seriousness, I didn't buy the car for its visual appeal to others or to me; I bought it because I really like the way it drives and it's cheap to drive and own. By far the best compromise between performance, cheapness, and reliability I've ever found. Having said that, I'm amazed at how completely ignored my car seems to be on the road. I've owned it since October, about 8000 miles ago, and I haven't noticed a single person eyeing it.

Women? Other than the occasional comment about how pretty the color is, not really. The only one I can think of who has commented beyond that was the cashier at the Toyota service desk who told me she was insanely jealous and wanted my car, but she was happy she gets to see it whenever I bring it in. Mostly it's guys - and then it's primarily teenage boys (but then, I live near a high school).

Then there are the valets at the garage where I park on the occasions when I drive in to the office, and I still don't understand why my car gets a crowd there. I mean, I regularly see a McLaren P12 and a BMW i8 parked there but no, it's the FR-S that gets all their attention when I pull in.

The mind boggles.

What colour? I can't drive 100 yards without sombody stopping to look or starring at me going through traffic. Men and women of all ages look, point and make comments to me or each other. I have had no less than 5 people actually walk into things because they are staring at me instead of looking where they are walking. One guy almost fell completely into a garbage can at a highway rest stop. It may be partially due to them being pretty scarce around here but I also suspect the colour grabs their attention.

Mine's probably the most non-eye-catching color available.. the "Argento" standard silver-grey that most econocars seem to be clad in. I almost bought a Hot Lava one, but it had some accident history and the dealer tried to hide it. At the time, I was kind of excited about having a car with a screamin' color (the only other car I've ever had that wasn't one of your standard basic car colors was a flame orange Fiat Spider back in the 80s), but the one I ended up buying had less miles, was in better shape, and was the same price AND "Toyota Certified" from a dealership. As usual, my pragmatism won out over color choice, but yeah, I was a little bummed at first. Even w/ the color-that-shall-blend-with-all-others, I figured the body shape would still catch some glances here and there, but so far nothing. They're pretty rare around here, too; I've only seen one other in the area. Doesn't really matter either way, although I'm suprised that more people aren't intrigued by it just because of the body shape. Who knows. Maybe Syracuse is more of a muscle car town.

Yeah, we Team Lava members definitely turn heads because of the color alone. At least once a week I get someone complimenting the color or asking me what the name of the color is (or in the case of one kid's mom, telling her son that she could never pull off having a bright orange car when he was pointing out to her and telling her she should get it).

When I bought mine they wanted to charge me full rice for all the extras they had put on it. I said no way and started to walk away. They said they had a white one for base price and I said no way and walked faster. They gave in. The orange was the first FRS I had ever seen in person and the colour just seemed so right for it that I was ruined for any other.

The best honestly is getting a custom paint, and yeah the lines on this car are so insane I think Porsche needs a remake!

I want to get a light very light unique color green on my FR-S. And leather seats to match the bud hairs also brown rims is a new one huh? I don't know where I am going with brown rims on that one, but lets see how it looks. Just my custom exterior FR-S would look magnificent.

Also this car just has that signature look of perfection that will never go away.
