I don't understand why everytime I walk into a tools store to check out the fancy stuff from Germany I always get treated like a chump by the millennial sales kid. As if this generation never grew up with quality goods and Made in China is a given.

Don't think I have ever had that happen to me.

He @krayzie is still up because he can't sleep ...... cause he worries about stuff like that ......

I sleep well because my "made in Taiwan" tools work just fine .... most of the time ...... however, I do have some problems with some of my stuff made in India ......

OK, gotta get to sleep.

Big weekend coming up.

We have all three granddaughters for a 24/7, three day sleepover.

Their parents are flying to Las Vegas for a 3 day weekend.

Wait a minute ...... WE are the ones who are retired ...... something is WRONG with this picture .....

Thats why if I ever have kids, I won't pawn them off on my parents. I'd feel bad.

Then again, my dad doesn't want to travel anywhere. Perhaps visit home country a few more times..

What do you guys do when someone is so incompetent it starts to affect you?
Bring it up to your manager?

I've been able to cover the mistakes for years now so our team doesn't look bad, but we had an issue and I was too busy with other things to fix it before other people noticed it.
Now we all look bad because 1 guy can't do his 1 job.

Disassociate yourself and report through the proper channels, covering someones incompetence will end bad for you..

Unless it is a relative..

There's only 3 of us, so unfortunately I can't totally disassociate myself.

But yeah, I'm pretty much done with this guy.

Some store called Atlas Machinery that I happened to walk by twice lately. I miss this old store called Active Electronics they used to stock all the wicked German screwdrivers and shit like that.

I finished work at 1ish. And the stupid parking entrance was so steep good thing I drove the SUV.

You know Taiwanese people (at least the ones I know) still feel to this day that are half Japanese so the quality should be right up there lol!

How do you have a 24/7 three day thing? Isn't that a 24/3?

Don't let Hum fool you he loves it. Our grandkids live in another city so we grab them for the weekend whenever we can. Would have had them more often when they were little if we were retired. They grow up so damned fast that it is hard to grasp they were babies once. The oldest will be about your age by the time I retire though. Maybe we will get to do the 24/7 thing with the great grandkids in 10 years or so.

Well, you may feel that way now, and that would be right considerate of you....

However, I derive pleasure of watching ma-ma interact with her granddaughters.

I do help out from time to time. This is ol pa-pa multi-tasking ...... watching the 10 month old ....... and getting a short nap ......

I would suggest that you (or someone in your team) volunteer to mentor your fellow team member.

And/or, suggest to the manager that he/she assign tasks to that individual that are more within his/her capabilities.

And/or, suggest to the manager that the individual would benefit from more training.
