Is it ok to install the Cusco diff collars without the rear inserts?
They're sold separately but I think that, because the front collars create a hard mount point, it's asking too much of that cantilevered load to support all of the torsion. I still see significant vertical deflection at the left rear isolator.
Anyone running like this? How long?

I ran it that way for 5-6 months, no issues. I had the Whiteline inserts though, don't know if that makes a difference

The steel Cusco collars take up all the available slack. There's a hard plastic layer but it doesn't actually have any give. They're literally hard mount points now. Feels great but I'm a little worried about the cyclical load on those screws. I'll watch it carefully the next few weeks.

There's a bright resonance right around 120 Km/hr. I'm ok with it today but I need to do some highway cruising before I commit. On the flip side, ten minutes on the Rhino ramps and it's back to stock.

I removed them yesterday. Without equal support at the rear, the reaction torque is transmitted right through the mounting screws. The diff was yanking on the screws hard enough to make them creak.
The remaining backlash hammered with with an intensity that felt unhealthy.
