Lots of love for the rotrex unit, but a little disappointed in the HKS pricing however.
A rotrex with the bracket with my own piping and a EcuTek would be mint and come out much cheaper... |

It has nothing to do with torque. 4k rpm = X rpm on the compressor so it is not a boost issue. |

Thats pretty typical of SC. Broad powerband that falls off up top while turbos typically wont have as much down low but build with RPM's.

It only falls off because they are using a restrictor in the inlet to keep the boost/flow in check at high rpm with a smaller SC pulley vs. killing the midrange with a really large SC pulley. If this SC was unrestricted, in would most likely make peak power at redline.

No dipsy
Quote:
As for the dip, that is 99% likely to the short comings in the tuning product With an ECUTEK tune that dip would disappear as the bit of manifold pressure plus good tune - be dip free curve

I need to buy and install my own spark plugs?! Deal-breaker right there!!
@HKS Australia, what exhaust system is this kit tested with? Makes a big difference if it's being tested with a stock system or a Hi-Power system, stock header vs. aftermarket, etc.

jackson racing and vortech may come up with a supercharger kit that i think could come cheaper than hks. that may be worth waiting for.
