2015 Subaru wrx

Does anyone think that there could a be a possibility that the 2015 WRX will
an automatic transmission option?

They have in the past, and I feel like they could since they added it to the BRZ.

AT seems like a more fitting option to a sedan, than a sports coupe in my opinion.

The A/T was largely built & engineered by Toyota from what I understand.

So, not likely I'd say.

It did in 2008 to 2012, also there's a few early yet rare models that came with an auto.

Don't know if they were good automatic though, that makes the night and day sacrifice towards a manual worth it. IE the twins.

The WRX autos were Toyota autos? Weird. Which ones?

I prefer auto over manual, rare, but that's me. So that argument is out of the question.

The dilemma would be.....

I'm looking to buy the 2014 BRZ in April/May. I prefer small coupes but I do live in New England and I would prefer not to drive it in the winter....So i would be storing it and driving my Celica during the winter.

My Celica feels like it is losing its life and I don't want to invest heavy money into it.

A next-Gen WRX in auto would be a possible choice for me even though I'm dying for the BRZ....again, mostly because I prefer small coupes.

The power difference doesn't bother me too much.

I believe he was referring to the BRZ/FRS transmission.

If you are referring to its small space in the BRZ, the trunk is a good size and i can fit two full shopping carts full of food in the car, also with a passenger. Also back seat room isn't to bad, if you want fit two people in the back, you can.

For the winter, a good set of snow tires might calm your fear of driving it in the winter (Though i'd argue all cars even 4WD need winter tires...), unless your worried about rust from salt and etc.

I said i PREFER small coupes I.E the BRZ, like my Celica.

IF snow tires make it driveable, along the lines of my Celica, that would be nice. I would like the keep it away from salt and rust......but paying $600 a year to store it and $1400 a year to insure both cars is a little hefty (even though my insurance for each is pretty low).

I know you like small coupes.

Ahh i see, its the price that kills you too. The car has pretty good weather proofing for what it is, also if you really love your car you could just lift it up and powerwash it every month during the winter.

I was referring to his comment about putting it in the BRZ. I'm not familiar with the old WRX transmissions but for a newer A/T there would have to be a lot more R&D time and I doubt Toyota would let Subaru use their tech for the WRX.

Yeah as I think about it, it doesn't make much sense to have two cars. I could buy a new car in 10 years with the money IDE be paying for storage and the double insurance.

As long as the brZ with good snow tires can handle the snow, i should be okay

I drove my FR-S through the winter last year and it worked great...fun too. You just need good tires.
