Loose Cable

Hi Fellow BRZ/FRS drivers!

When changing my oil, I noticed a loose cable coming off the positive terminal of the battery. My BRZ is running fine and there are no warning lights on the dash. Any idea what that cable goes to and if this is an urgent repair?

Two photos of the loose cable below:

Hello Verb, and welcome to our fine forum .......

From your pictures, I can't identify the cable you are referring to .....??

Maybe if you describe the cable or point to it, I could help you.

Maybe others, with better eyes, will come along to help you out ......

Same as humfrz, I don't see anything jumping out at me. Maybe you're talking about the ground to the tranny? But it looks bolted. Not sure.

Appears to be a ground. Mine is bolted to the bell housing.
Let me dig deeper.

You can't upload the pics because the size is two large

Ya that looked bolted to me as well until I saw how low it is. Should be much higher.

Thanks for greetings and thanks for the edit above to highlight the loose cable. Appreciate the assist!

It sounds like it's a loose ground wire then?

See that bolt just at the top of the yellow circle on yours? That is the same bolt that is underneath mine in my pic. There should be a hole about where mine is placed but the view is blocked in your pics.

It isn't coming off the battery at all. It comes down by the block.Nowhere near the battery.
