Really, so many stubborn people. This is an official Toyota mule, for which TMG is certainly responsible for testing. The question that cannot be answered is wether the testing is for general R&D, for racing (TMG, Gazoo), or for production. If for production, it is clear, and no-one said the contrary, no turbo or huge power upgrade. Just handling in order to male the GT86 track ready from the dealer, and keep it road leagal. Next step to track ready car is Porsche GT3 (RS), way more expensive.

They tend to void your warranty if you track your car. So I guess it makes sense that they would make a track enticing version.

I do like the front lip and sides though.

Yup, I use to love coming to this forum. Like you said around 2012-2013 things went to sh*t. People disagreed back than, but you didn't see the rude trash talk like what we see today.

I use to teach Pre-K and Kindergarten, and we had 4 and 5 years olds that treated each other better than "grown men" on this forum.

Everyone, please grow up and act your age. Treat others as you would want to be treated.

End rant...

I've been sadly mislead, then. <Joke>But then again I was the victim of a horrible personal attack by the OP regarding my reading abilities.</Joke>

I thought this thread is about people who disagreed with the OP's assertion that "an OEM test mule running bigass brakes, extra cooling (incl. oil cooler, as seen in the pictures) and loads of downforce (for a road car) is a sure sign Toyota is cooking up a much anticipated hot version of our beloved twin."

OP was the one who went ballistic when some people questioned (politely, even) his "because RING!" and links to nothing more than more speculation as proof. That's really about all there is to it.

We're all car enthusiasts here. We can disagreed with someone's point of view without being rude, thats all I'm trying to say.

Yup, cause I never stated anyone. I said everyone needs to chill out and have more respect for one another.

Hes entitled to his opinion just like everyone else. He just probably felt like everyone was attacking him.

Just take a chill pill everyone

And when all fails, just remember...

Warranty is never voided.

Warranty claims may be denied due to using a vehicle for competitive events.

Untimed track days, autox, and education programs will not result in warranty denial. It is up to the dealership/corporate office to determine if the car has been used in a competitive setting.

At least that's my understanding.
