Yea that top one is nice. It would be interesting to see what it would look like if the grill was flat black.

I'm sure there will be aftermarket options for that if these sell in any level of quantity.

I just realized the premium models apparently come with a glass roof, and from what I can tell no option for a delete on that. I know a lot of folks like it, but personally not a fan...

Skipping over the whole Mustang name, this does look like a pretty good offering for someone looking for an EV. I know that my work commute is only 30 km a day round trip, so that is not too bad. That 459 hp and mid 3 sec 0-60 time can be impressive too.

What I want to know is many miles does a 3 second 0-60 cost you out of the range...

Well if you look at the Model S, the calculations in this article say you can do 170 quarter mile races on a full battery, when you take into account power braking regenerating a good portion of the power used.

So, doesn't sound like one pull uses a significant portion of your available mileage.

So 42.5 miles at full retard... that's actually not terrible.

Supposedly if you put it in "Ludicrious Mode" and drive it at full speed (155MPH), you can go about 140 miles.

On a Road course, you might get a little further since there would be some regenerative braking, and slower speeds.

By the way, I'm guessing suddenly the Mach-E doesn't seem so bad to a lot of folks thanks to Tesla.

Any constant speed (even if fast) is better than constant acceleration. Although I guess regenerative braking helps reduce that.

Im becoming more convinced that this truck is purely a strategic move. The goal was probably to keep it as cheap and rugged as possible, so the cyberpunk theme is just a facade. Luxury trucks like the Cadillac truck just haven’t sold well, and many trucks are purchased for work environments. Maybe this is a strategic gamble to make a utility truck for construction sites that will survive the environment, or maybe it will appeal to doomsdayers. Let Rivian grow and do something ugly but functional? Whatcha think?
