Considering selling my car because of accidents

I love my car to death. She's the car that got me into cars. Especially more so since my dad who passed away wanted me to have a car (I was riding motorcycles only at this point).

But since I've owned it, other people are hitting it every year. It's pretty ridiculous.

Before you guys say it's my fault for not being a careful driver, I don't believe it is. The first two accidents are when it was parked someone hit it and this third one is while I was stopped at a light trying to turn right and rear ended.

Is this car an accident magnet? I'm considering trading it to get something else but having a hard time even thinking about letting it go.

Either trolling... or you should just be glad you weren't sitting on your bike at a stop light while getting nailed. Perhaps the car has saved your life and you didn't know it, but now you owe your undying loyalty to its perpetuation

no car is an accident magnet...it is combination of luck and how much you can influence your surroundings.

in my eyes it is pretty silly to want to get rid of a beloved car due to other people unless this is indeed due to your negligence..

E: admittedly my first FRS got totaled by someone running a red light while I was making a left green arrow turn and while it was certainly the other party's fault I can admit that I could have been more cautious even though it was a red light

It is smaller than the average vehicle so it'll be marginally less likely to be seen. But this sounds more like unlucky situations rather than doomed fate

I would make a decision on this based on the condition of the vehicle.
How's the frame and other major metal bits?

Accidents are going to happen regardless of what car you drive. Sure some factors skew probability (your car is low, small, and white), but none of your examples sound like things you have caused. It's just other people being terrible drivers.

If you were in an SUV, would you still have been backed into twice, and rear ended? Possibly.

If you are looking at getting rid of your car because you can't emotionally stand the fact that it is getting beaten on with these accidents, will you really be any different with another car? That however is a different mentality than getting rid of it because it's "an accident magnet" (which is just your anecdotal experience; surely you are about to get replies for a dozen forum users who have never been in an accident).

If you love the car, drive it, but accept the fact that it does not live in a bubble. Do your best to minimize risks (park away from other cars if you have to, leave more space in front when stopped and watch cars approach in your rear view mirror and move up if you don't think they are stopping in time, etc.), and just enjoy it.

That's nice......

No.

Well, then don't.

There ain't nothing wrong with the car or your driving.

Driving a car is a risk......just part of life for most people.

Just relax ....... and be aware of your surrounds when you are driving.

Keep it. Or trade it in for a 2017 if you think yours is cursed.

It's because it's white.
Paint it yellow with orange stripes and your problems will be solved. And maybe add flashing strobes.

Just bad luck. Has nothing to do with the car. Tired of the car and the bad karma? Just move on. Lots of cool cars out there.

btw: my condolences on your late father.
