That's part of the problem. The main TV I watch now is a 70" Vizio.

OLEDs don't come in 70", so I would have to go down to a 65" or up to a 77". The price differential between the two is almost double so I'm sticking with what I have for now.

That's about where I am, although mine might be a bit older. I just picked up the Disney+ channel deal that's running through Monday (3 years for $140, which is 33% off) and it does 4K. Between that and Netflix/Amazon streaming 4K I REALLY want to upgrade the TV.

I misunderstood your correct use of "sad." I am saddened by the loss but I thought we were speaking more about the circumstances of the death and that adventure seekers are likely going to meet an early end.

I called my local TV store and just got talked into the new 65" LG C9. THe price he quoted me is better than I can find anywhere, and is only a few dollars more than the C8.

Anyway, I'll probably pick it up later today. I'll post a pic. Thanks again!

Yea the price differential on the 65" I've seen is only $100 to $300. On the 77" inch the differential is closer to $1000, enough that I would definitely go with the older model.

As much as I want an OLED I'm very tempted to go with an LG NanoCell. The blacks aren't quite as black, but it has a better overall color to it, and is also more viewable in a bright room (a problem I have to deal with). Also, they are about half the price of an OLED.
