Your best bet is to either wait it out and hope a dealer gets one, or contact one of those out of state dealers that you see the car you want at and see how much their smallest deposit is. Where I live a few would hold onto the car for 48 hours for $100. That should be enough time for you to go to one of those dealers.
Or you can tell multiple dealers the exact car you want, they can try to find it in auction, or get a different twin entirely.

OP: I forgot to mention the sale tax issue when you purchase out of state. For example: I'm in Arizona where the sale tax is 9%. If you buy in Alaska where the sales tax is 0% .... when you place tags on your car .... Arizona will want to collect the entire 9%. So do do some research on the sale tax issue when you register in your state.

Seriously. Sometimes you need to look to other states for the exact car you want. It's not a big deal. Just do your research. Always use an outside PPI company rather than one recommended by the dealership. The PPI is not an extensive PPI. They measure paint thickness to make sure the car has not been resprayed. Pics of ALL scratches, blemishes, car interior, etc. etc. I paid about a $150 for this.

There really is no reason to have the dealerships look for your car.

As for @Tcoat and @humfrz .... they're usually very helpful, but you have to ask them questions AFTER they take their meds.

LOLOLOL.

Dealerships usually do not negotiate the price with the out-of-state buyers since they know that your selection is limited. I think you will pay higher for being too picky.

I have a few questions regarding what I should look for and what to expect when purchasing one of these cars. I'm especially interested in the Yuzu yellow Release Series 1.0 from 2015. As all of you know those were limited production and don't come around as often. I test drove one the other day and completely fell in love, however someone beat me to the purchase. So here are the questions I had, the only RS1.0's (with the exception of the one I test drove) I've seen are in other states. I'm not sure how car dealerships work, but would they be able to acquire a vehicle from another dealership to make a sale? I know carmax does this but the ones I've seen have not been on carmax unfortunately. Also, is there any little details I should be on the look out for before I make a final purchase? I'm somwhat clueless on the topic and just wanted to get some opinions from some of you guys that have had experience.
Thanks for the feedback in advance!

You should have know what may happen then!

You may not get a lot of guys that can tell you if dealers will send to other dealers because there are probably not many (if any) that have found dealers to do. Like you said Carmax will but that is probably about it. As said if you are buying one from a distance you will pay top dollar since they know they have you. Call the places that have the ones you are interested and see what they have to say don't ask us here if they will do it. We don't know!

Well, now, that window is pretty narrow for me. I take some meds at night, some in the morning, take some at noon and sometimes, I have to get up at night to take some. And then I sometimes take some in between, if I can't remember if I took them ......
