I picked up so far for this year:

Perrin 22mm front sway bar (will set to soft at first)
Crash bolts for front camber)
Q300 for a catback.
K&N Drop in Filter

Id like to purchase some Koni adjustable, but we'll see if I find the funds before race season starts.

If you going to buy Koni's, I suggest you buy the SSC spec ones since you would be going there anyways.

So what is everyone's take on DS this year? Does it look hopeless with the Type R coming in?

I don't think so. Either way, my money is still on Mark Scroggs in the Camaro.

A good driver in a Type R could be formidable, but I think our car still has a chance depending on the course.

If you run on the west coast or Nationals, sure, but he will not be at every big event all across the country. I think our car will do fine and should still be able to snag a trophy at most/all events with good driving.

there are a couple of Camaros registered for the Dixie Tour plus a Type R.
that will give us one data point on the relative performances. not sure about
the driver skills involved though...

I picked up a perrin 22mm front sway bar, I'll try it out on soft at first since its paired with the stock rear.

Just waiting to save some funds for the koni's

HeresMyMind, if you're looking for some Koni Sports, I have a set in great shape, with less than 8k miles. No rust, no leaks, original owner. Just driven to and from auto-x. Asking $450 OBO, buyer pays shipping.

after shipping it would probably only be 200$ for new ones spec for the scca class. thanks for the offer though.

After driving the car with the front sway it feels very planted compared to stock. I did realize i accidentally used the stiff setting, so I am going to put it on soft today and see how that feels. I think an OEM rear and stiff setting front may be too much in the front.

I also am installing the crash bolts and adjusting my toe today.

Does anyone the stiffness of the TRD front bar compare to others. Is it stiffer than Stano bar, Perrin 22mm? I had the 19mm Perrin on stiff with oem shocks on my 17 86 and it was not stiff enough and rolled more than I liked.
