Did you do street tuning? Cause I heard doing like one wot pull will make the clutch slip.

When you get a clutch only go as high IRT clamping force as required.

To heavy a clutch pack will turn your gearbox into a fuse, bend forks and generally make the car horrible on the street in traffic.

IRT puc clutches (3,4,5,6), whilst they grip well, they will not last anywhere near a properly selected full face, I've had pucs, I would rather use a twin if I was making big power.

I am currently looking into a flywheel, clutch pack, fork, pivot and bearing for around 250nm atw.

Exedy stage 1 looks good for up to 275Nm atw.

This should suit a mild turbo or, more pertinent to me, a supercharger (I'm looking at the Harrop).

In saying that the clutch should hold the 300hp/250Nm, whether the gearbox and rods do is another question.

I am looking at grabbing a 17+ short block if I can find one, if not a long and just throw some slugs and rods in it.

Not alot I can do IRT the gearbox, apart from buy a spare and wait for the current one to lunch itself.

The budget for the boost build does make my 198hp atw NA build seem like exceptional value.

At the track, if it's stable I wouldn't be to concerned

On the street, while "cruising" I would say you have issues.

Do you have an oil cooler? You haven't even told us anything about what supporting mods you chose. Hell, I had to work to figure out (from just this thread) that from when you started the thread until now you've purchased, installed, and been running that kit.

Maybe it's the pizza, but I feel like we need to know exactly what is in your build to keep answering questions.

If you have an oil cooler, where is it mounted? Do you have a vented hood for heat evacuation? Did you end up buying a turbo blanket? If you're not using the gtx2871, is the turbo you chose oil cooled only? How are you reading/logging oil temps?

Yikes lol. Not oil cooled but will be soon. I have a ptp blanket thought it shouldnt effect oil temps. Gtx2867r and using ecutek bluetooth to log temps.

The turbo blanket will add heat to the oil. Probably not much, but it's something. Definitely need an oil cooler, I don't care what the general consensus on here is. Your oil is your car's blood! Don't neglect it, and it'll keep you moving sweet build though, you should make a build thread

Street tuned with delicious. Tons of WOT pulls on the street, the road course, and half a dozen or so at the drag strip. I don't expect the clutch to last as long as it would have at stock power, but it's been holding the power fine so far and I'll wait to swap it until it slips.

Your results may vary.
