Had a hard time taking off crank pulley, so started searching on the forums for other alternative. Read it would be best to take off the serpentine belt first. Eventually got it off, but now I'm having a hard time loosening the alternator pulley. I put the belt back on, but the the alternator screw moves as I try to loosenit.
Any advice?
Thanks.

Do you have access to an impact gun?

An impact will work the easiest.

Worst case scenario, hold the pulley with an adjustable pliers. The serrated teeth in the pliers will dig into the grooves and ruin the pulley but it is the best way to keep it from slipping while trying to break the nut loose.
