Question for Rocket Bunny install, I have a whiteout frs and already purchased my V2 kit from Greddy. I went to a body shop and they gave me a price I wasn't expecting for the installation! lets just say worth more than the kit itself they told me if I wanted it to look perfect they would have to blend the paint job meaning paint the kit and parts of the car like hood and quarter panel so the paint job can blend perfectly since its a pearl color. I wanted to just have the parts painted and installed I never thought they would have to take my brand new car apart. I guess my question is if I just have the kit painted separately then installed would it still look good? or do I have to pay the extra money to have the car taken apart to get it completely painted with the kit?

You have the hardest colour to paint match, so they are most likely correct about having to blend the paint if you want it to look good. Also, "I wasn't expecting to have to take my brand new car apart" ?? You are aware that you will end up with at least four to five big parts cut out of your car correct?

Yeah of course I know the fenders have to be cut but on the quote it said they have to remove the hood and the door handles and rearview mirrors and to do that the door panels have to be removed then the quarter panel glass has to be removed too.

I just went around getting quotes from reputable collision and body shops. You have to remember not only are trying to get your parts installed and painted these guys want money too. They are sales people. all four fenders on my dads f350 cost around 1000. Color matched perfectly. I got a quote for my v1 kit for 3500...I laughed.

Yes...that is how painting and blending works.

could also just wrap your whole car
