Took it into the dealer in Olympia for a couple days. They could definitely hear it and it's pretty constant.

Their answer: it's a "characteristic" of the vehicle. Lamest non-excuse I've ever heard.

Anyone hog a point of contact at Toyota who might not be totally artarded?

We should try to post some clips to make sure we are all hearing the same thing.

Mine was exactly like Prog's recording. At first I thought it was a loose wire in the speaker.

Mine is the same as prog's and odd's. Listen to the sound clips earlier in this string if you have not already. My first guess was the speaker too. However, the buzzing is not affected at all by the radio being on or not or the volume. So logically I would think that it is not the speaker. But that is just a WAG.

Have the same noise coming from the gas pedal. Took it to the dealership to have a look.
They are going to replace the gas pedal assembly. Just waiting for the parts to come in.

Any updates on this? I have the same as in OP's recording. It only seems to happen on really shitty roads though.

No update from me. Last time I took it to the dealership it was a three day ordeal. I have a business trip in September so I am going to wait to take it back to the dealership until then.

And, when I take it back, I will get a list of the parts they removed and reinstalled.

I was chasing a similar rattle. When referenced this thread I found it was not coming from the pedal assembly. My issue is the Window switch/Door lock panel on the drivers door.

Interesting. The buzzing is so intermittent and the shape of the cabin is such that finding exactly where it's coming from is near impossible.

Was it a wiring harness or something similar on that switch assembly? Are you certain it was the same buzz?

Good luck - very interested in what they find.

I'm having an intermittent buzzing/rattling noise from the drivers size dash area as well.

In my case, it is the A pillar plastic trim piece resonating and vibrating against the metal speaker panel over certain uneven pavements. A thin felt tape solved the issue.

I'm also getting the rattles already. Brand new car, just got last week with just less than 300 miles. 2015 BRZ Series.Blue

It sounds more of a bee buzzing. It seems temperature/climate related as I don't hear it at all during night time when it's colder.

Please tell us more, and show us a pic of this area good sir...

My buzzing can now be heard in all speeds, always upon deceleration. I think it's climate related as well, since it comes and goes.
