What are the emissions tests in Connecticut?
Hello there, I've been looking at the Jackson Racing C30 supercharger and was wondering where the end of the pipes connect to...the stock header? Anyways if no one knows the answer for that, my question is, I live in CT and my car is a 2017 BRZ so I still have to do emissions, now upgrading the header and front pipe, what should I upgrade them to, not to fail emissions?
1. Keep the header stock? 2. Aftermarket catted header? 3. Catless header? 1. Stock front pipe? 2. Invidia high flow cat front pipe? 3. Invidia catless front pipe? (Changing it between 2 and 3 when emission time) Obviously it's not very easy to change the header for emissions so what is my permanent solution for a high flow (+HP) header for this supercharger or any other FI? |

CT emissions are just an OBD2 check for sensor readiness and an inspection for catalytic converters. Some places are really lax on the cat check, my car is too low and they usually don't bother.
Your car is emissions exempt for 4 years anyway so who cares. |

Yeah the last time I went for emissions on my Corolla, the guy just looked under the car for the front pipe cat and then plugged in the cable to test. So my question is, as long as I have a high flow catted header and a high flow catted front pipe I'll be good on the test right?

Not sure if they really care if there are one or two cats. My WRX only has a high flow downpipe cat and has been fine for years. No one has even mentioned the removed uppipe cat.
