DFW BRZ/FRS/86 Club

Just getting the word out to anyone in the area started a Group on Facebook. so people in the DFW area can easily get in touch with each other and go to meets and help out with modifications and so on.

Just started it today so it will be slow moving.

Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1733794183509502/

What is going to be different about this group vs all the other DFW groups? or is it just going to be one of these?

I'm only aware of one DFW group prior to this one and it didn't seem like it was a group, but more like someone's own page.. Then there's the Texas page, which doesn't really qualify as a DFW page.. Am I just not informed of the others? lol

I was part of a few, and they all turned into buy-sell groups or just vendor spam. maybe this will be different. I am still part of one, but its is still very "buy my rota knockoff wheels that dont even fit the BRZ, bro i said it was for my lexus in the title"-ish. #getoffmylawn

already saw the classic "buy my spacers" in this group.

EDIT:going back and looking yes its the Texas group

Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but I didn't even know DFW had a group. Maybe I just suck at searching? Hopefully it works for you, @Xerail

@Zubit I just made the group three days ago. I didnt like how there really wasn't an involved DFW group other then just monthly meets. We have around 66 members for now. I plan on trying to keep putting the word out and maybe at some point make cards and ask the dealers to give them to any new owners.

This group the members are allowed to post. it's mainly on Facebook. I only know of one other, where there is one admin and he is only allowed to post. this page allows owners strictly in the DFW area to plan there own meets. A group where if someone needed help with a mod they post it and see who can help them out, without taking it to a shop.

I Don't really know what the other groups do I'm not really involved with them. I am trying to model this group page over the SD86 Club. I was stationed in SD for 4 years and really liked it there. They actually made it feel like a club. Where we would go for fun runs, at some point someones house would have a couple cars on stilts adding mods. There numerous things going on each week.

Now the group was just made so its gonna be slow going. I f the buy/sell stuff gets out of hand I and the administrators would get together and see what should be done.
