Just found out that Subaru estimates that these cars will arrive at dealerships March 2017. I wonder why they revealed it so soon...

That just seems really late in the model year. I hope that is also not the same time frame for the performance package.

Makes sense because if retail delivery is March 2017 then the build date is late January/ early February.

When the dealers submit orders they always have to specify what package the car will be built with...meaning the package would have to be available as an option at the time of January/February--which falls in the advertised timeframe of "Winter 2017" as mentioned by the Subaru website.

We don't have any official report of other changes that they transformed the new base car. If they did it, why not offer a test drive event? Let the GT86/BRZ owners drive the new car and see the difference! Additionally, don't forget that in Subaru terms it is a second model within the same platform. The actual (mild) refresh was back in the 2015 model. This is what Subaru is doing till now.

It doesn't matter what you want or I want, large, significant changes won't happen until a new generation.

In the mean time, people have been scooping up these limit editions regardless on what they do or do not offer.

Also, the 2015 model was not a refresh by any standards.

If you bought this car expecting something else, you did a poor job researching a large purchase. This car was never, ever advertised to be a fast car, but that's what "many" people want. Buy something else if you want a fast from factory car, or wait to see what they offer in a second generation.

*assuming quickness is an imperfection you were referring to*.

The car still has tremendous potential. That idea hasn't changed at all.

Sorry if I missed it, but was there a confirmation on the tires that are supplied with the performance package?
